Client Profile

Sports' Cross is an up and coming e-commerce sports apparel company that specializes in men's athletic-wear. They've only been in business for a few months, but have been making headlines with their state-of-the-art sports socks and shorts that wick sweat and stay odour-free.

They are looking to capitalize on their momentum to help accelerate their growth to the next level.

Product Evaluation

Since the client is so new, data volume is not a concern. It also means that the data they do have is not as effective at this time. Data Core will be useful to help them scale, but advanced Analytics is something they are willing to wait on for a few months.

Unfourtunately for Sports Cross, they've perhaps engineered their products too-well. A single pair of their socks can last for years, and their customers have few incentives for purchasing more at their high price-point. Loyalty is not a priority at this time until their product better meets a recurring cycle.

Due to their e-commerce-only philosophy, the client wants to emulate the success of Amazon, and make it as easy and simple to check-out as possible. Providing tight integrations with popular external payment providers is a huge priority, so we'll be sure to offer them Payments as part of our pitch.

Highlights in magazines, social media influencers, and national television attention have stressed the importance of marketing for the client. However, since Marketing requires Loyalty (which they are not launching with), we will use Marketing as an up-sell opportunity in a few months.
