What are "Ingestion Services"?

Our renewed focus on data requires a suite of support tools to facilitate the ingestion and persistence of that data.

This process will be facilitated by a separate suite of tools which will be organized under the category of "Ingestion Services".

The most common examples that we already support are our point of sale plugins. A renewed effort in improving and standardizing these tools should be taken to help solidify these tools as a strong area of focus for the company.

Additionally, throughout the years we have had many of our clients make requests about importing historical data, or capturing data that does not have an explicit loyalty focus.

A method should exist for capturing this data and allowing us to work with it. An additional all-purpose import tool should be built that can be used to translate or migrate that existing data into our platform.
